Feature Friday: Error reporting

Feature Friday: Error reporting
Behind the scenes, we are working hard on our Intelligent Data Protection Platform. To keep you informed on all developments, we will share a new or updated feature every Friday in our “Feature Friday.” Today: error reporting. In this blog, you will discover what that exactly means.

Registration in logs

When working with systems, it’s important to track and register all actions. This is mostly done by logs. By doing so, you’ll have a complete overview of everything that has happened.

So in case something within the system goes wrong, you can consult these logs to see what caused the problem. But mostly, you as a user need to check what happened.

This could cost a lot of time because to go in-depth to find the problem, you’ll need some sessions to get to the problem. And also, this is often quite a complicated process. Because, where to begin?

Smartlockr has a new feature that makes this process easier: logs that you can request to get insights.

Error reporting

Within Smartlockr, all actions are registered. So, in case the system won’t work properly, this needs to be examined. With just one click it’s possible to request the logs to see what went wrong:

But, this is just one thing. As said before, Smartlockr makes the whole process easier. Because by clicking on the button, you don’t just request the logs. You send them directly to Smartlockr’s support team. This means that you don’t have to seek the problem within the system, but that it will be done for you.  So, it will save you a lot of time because you don’t have to dive into the logs.

So, in short: in case there will be some errors within the system, you can send the logs to our support. They will do the work for you and keep in touch with you to discuss the results.  Easy, right?
